EnCirca Domains MCP Connector

The EnCirca Domains MCP Connector lets compatible AI assistants connect securely to EnCirca domain services through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It is designed for users who want assistant-guided access to domain search, registration, renewal, transfer, and domain management workflows while keeping EnCirca account permissions and user confirmation in control.

Overview

Connector details

The connector exposes EnCirca domain capabilities through a remote MCP server. MCP is an open protocol that allows AI tools and applications to request structured capabilities from external services. When connected to an MCP-compatible client, the EnCirca connector can help users find relevant domain information and perform supported domain workflows through natural language.

Audience

Who can use it

The connector is intended for EnCirca customers, domain portfolio managers, registry operators, developers, and support teams who want to use an AI assistant with EnCirca domain workflows.

Users may need:

  • An active EnCirca account
  • Permission to access the relevant domains, contacts, or account records
  • Authorization through the client application when authenticated features are used
  • Any registry-specific eligibility, verification, or policy requirements for the requested domain action

Access to connector features depends on the user's EnCirca account permissions and the capabilities enabled for the connected MCP client.

Compatibility

Supported clients

The connector is built for MCP-compatible clients that support remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. This may include AI assistants, developer tools, desktop clients, or enterprise platforms that support remote MCP connectors.

Client-specific setup may vary, but the connection details are the same:

If a client requires OAuth or account authorization, follow the authorization flow shown by that client.

Setup

How to connect

In an MCP-compatible client, add the EnCirca remote MCP server and complete any authorization flow shown by the client.

  1. Open the client's connector, integration, or MCP server settings.
  2. Add a new remote MCP server.
  3. Enter the server URL: https://mcp.encirca.com/mcp.
  4. Select Streamable HTTP if the client asks for a transport.
  5. Complete any authorization or account connection flow shown by the client.
  6. Start a new conversation and ask for a supported EnCirca domain task.
If the connector is listed in a public connector directory, users may be able to select EnCirca Domains directly instead of entering the server URL manually.
Claude

Connecting in Claude

If EnCirca Domains is available in Claude's Connectors Directory, open Claude's connector settings, search for EnCirca Domains, and follow the connection flow.

Before directory publication, users with custom connector access can test it manually:

Anthropic Claude

Manual connection steps

  1. Open Claude.
  2. Go to Customize > Connectors.
  3. Select Add custom connector.
  4. Enter https://mcp.encirca.com/mcp.
  5. Complete the connection and authorization flow.
  6. Start a chat and ask Claude to help with an EnCirca domain workflow.
Features

Capabilities

The connector is designed to support EnCirca domain workflows such as:

Searching for domain availability
Reviewing domain registration options
Preparing domain registration requests
Reviewing renewal information
Preparing domain renewal workflows
Preparing domain transfer workflows
Looking up domain management details
Opening relevant EnCirca pages for review or completion

The exact tools available in a client may change over time as EnCirca adds or updates connector capabilities.

Read-only and changing actions

Some connector actions only retrieve information. Other actions may prepare or perform changes to domain, DNS, registrant, account, billing, registry, or renewal data.

Users should review all assistant-proposed actions carefully before confirming them. Domain-related changes can affect website availability, email delivery, ownership records, renewal behavior, transfer status, registry compliance, or billing.

EnCirca may require additional confirmation, authentication, eligibility checks, or manual review before completing sensitive operations.

Authentication and permissions

Authenticated features use the user's EnCirca permissions. The connector should not give an AI assistant access to domains or account data the user could not otherwise access through EnCirca.

When authentication is required:

  • The user signs in or authorizes access through the supported connection flow.
  • The client receives limited access for supported connector operations.
  • EnCirca account permissions still determine what data and actions are available.
  • Access can be revoked through the client or EnCirca account controls where supported.

For security, users should only connect the EnCirca Domains MCP Connector from trusted client applications.

Data access

Depending on the user's request and account permissions, the connector may access:

  • Domain names and availability results
  • Domain registration and renewal metadata
  • Domain transfer status or requirements
  • Account-specific domain records
  • Contact or registrant information when required for supported workflows
  • Registry policy, eligibility, or compliance information
  • User instructions sent through the connected MCP client
  • Operational logs needed for reliability, security, support, and audit purposes

The connector should access only the data needed to respond to user requests and complete authorized workflows.

Data use

Data accessed through the connector may be used to:

  • Respond to user requests in an MCP-compatible client
  • Retrieve relevant EnCirca domain or account information
  • Prepare supported domain registration, renewal, transfer, or management workflows
  • Support security monitoring, troubleshooting, auditing, and service reliability
  • Meet registrar, registry, ICANN, contractual, legal, or compliance obligations

EnCirca does not sell user data through the connector.

Data sharing

Domain registrar workflows may require data sharing with parties involved in providing domain services, including:

  • Domain registries
  • Registry service providers
  • ICANN-related compliance systems
  • Payment, hosting, security, logging, and infrastructure providers
  • Legal, regulatory, or dispute-resolution authorities where required

Connector access does not grant unrelated third parties access to the user's EnCirca account.

Security

The connector is operated over HTTPS and is intended to preserve EnCirca's existing account permission model. Users should verify that they are connecting to the official EnCirca endpoint:

https://mcp.encirca.com/mcp

Users should not paste passwords, one-time codes, API keys, payment details, or confidential registry materials into an AI assistant unless the specific workflow requires it and they trust the connected client.

Examples

Example prompts

Users can try prompts such as:

  • “Search for available domain names related to my new brand.”
  • “Check whether this domain can be transferred to EnCirca.”
  • “Show me the renewal options for my domains.”
  • “Help me prepare a domain registration request.”
  • “Find the EnCirca page where I can manage this domain.”

The assistant may ask follow-up questions when additional information, authorization, or confirmation is required.

Help

Troubleshooting

If the connector does not connect:

  • Confirm the server URL is exactly https://mcp.encirca.com/mcp.
  • Confirm the client supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP.
  • Check whether your EnCirca account has the required permissions.
  • Complete any authorization flow shown by the client.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the connector.
  • Contact EnCirca support if the issue continues.

If a domain action is unavailable, the domain may be restricted by account permissions, registry policy, eligibility requirements, transfer status, expiration status, or another domain lifecycle rule.
