A ProGuard IP Defensive Registration protects a trademark in one of the following second level strings.
- "law.pro", "bar.pro", "jur.pro", "avocat.pro", "recht.pro" for Legal
- "med.pro" for Medical
- "cpa.pro", "aca.pro", "aaa.pro", "acct.pro" for Accountancy
- "eng.pro" for Engineers
Defensive registrations are open to individuals and organizations residing in any location. All defensive registrations have a term of four years. IP Registrations must be associated with a trademark held by the registrant.
Note to non-US Registrants: use this form to reserve your .pro string until the registry starts accepting registrants from your country.
No trademark information is required to reserve your .pro domain.

Registrants may request to convert any defensive registration to a regular resolving name. Conversion requests will only be processed at the beginning of the live registry period. All conversion requests must be accompanied by Professional Eligibility data.
