|| Unlocking your domain
By default, EnCirca locks all domain names. Domains must be unlocked before they can be transferred to another registrar. In addition, other updates to the domain may require the domain to be unlocked first.

To view the status of your domain, see the "Unlocked?" flag.

"N" means the domain is locked.
"Y" means the domain is unlocked.

If you receive an error message that your domain needs to be unlocked before changes can be made, follow these steps:

  • Login to your account
  • Select the domain to unlock via the list screen or via the 'modify domain' screen
  • Select 'modify' and change the "Unlocked?" to "Y"
  • Select 'continue' and then 'commit' to save the change
