Over 5,800 .jobs websites led by veterans.jobs are part of a new initiative to help US war veterans transition from active duty to the civilian workforce. This is part of the new Universe.jobs, a network of thousands of occupational, geographic and industry websites designed to help employers distribute their job listings.

Universe.jobs is aiming to teach job seekers how to do direct navigation to look for job openings by entering their geographic location, occupation or industry ending with .jobs into their web browser.

The .Jobs Registry is poised to offer a new jobs listing service for employers after ICANN’s reaffirmation of their registry service request. To take advantage of this new service, employers must first register a .Jobs domain, such as companyname.jobs.

The .Jobs domain moved one step closer today to offering .jobs registrants an innovative new service for recruiting new employees. In a response posted today on ICANN’s website by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), SHRM has succinctly dispelled whether the proposed new service changes the .jobs Charter.
