What new domains could overtake .com?

Currently, there are about 85 million .com domain names.  Even with the introduction of extensions such as .info, .biz and .eu,
.com still dominates the domain name marketplace.
As ICANN prepares to release a new group of extensions, what new domain could threaten .com’s dominance?
Well, perhaps we should be taking a closer look at these private namespaces?
TechCrunch reported today and there are currently 100 million registered users on Twitter. And, we found that as of March 2010, there are 400 million registered Facebook users and as of January 2009, 500 million Windows Live users are reported. These figures are pretty impressive and don’t even touch upon Amazon, Google and Yahoo users.
We’re watching closely and will keep you posted.

Who do you think will apply for their own domain extension?
